The Thu Thiem new urban area becomes the financial centre to attract investment flows

Ho Chi Minh City is currently the financial center of Vietnam. It is ranked as a secondary financial market according to Global Financial Centres Index (GFCI). 

In the program 'Developing Ho Chi Minh City into a regional and international financial center', the city aims to focus on these 4 schemes till 2025:

- Developing fintech, digital bank, and digital transaction market

- Facilitating financial partnerships in the region

- Developing the Thu Thiem financial commercial center following an international model to attract investment flows  

- Developing commodity markets in the city financial center 

The 2021-2025 period is planned to solidify the foundations to develop this financial center and to prepare to step up to the regional financial center from 2026 to 2045. It is aimed to become a significant regional financial center in 2030 and to be ranked as the top 50 financial centers of the world by GFCI. And in 2045, to be in the world's top 20. 

In the program of turning into the regional and international financial center, Ho Chi Minh City has identified itself as the hub attracting investment capital from private and public cooperations from all around the world. In this picture, the nuclear is located in the Thu Thiem new urban area. 

Experts have advised that it is called for a specific plan and strategic policies supporting the program. This will surely move Ho Chi Minh City to new heights, and positively affect the overall economy of Vietnam. Policy adjustments, institutional breakthroughs, legal favors, and implementation steps will greatly aid the program. All of these will make the Thu Thiem financial center more competitive on the world map, and become an attractive option for investors everywhere.
