Ho Chi Minh City is currently the financial center of Vietnam. It is ranked as a secondary financial market according to Global Financial Centres Index (GFCI).

The 2021-2025 period is planned to solidify the foundations to develop this financial center and to prepare to step up to the regional financial center from 2026 to 2045. It is aimed to become a significant regional financial center in 2030 and to be ranked as the top 50 financial centers of the world by GFCI. And in 2045, to be in the world's top 20.
In the program of turning into the regional and international financial center, Ho Chi Minh City has identified itself as the hub attracting investment capital from private and public cooperations from all around the world. In this picture, the nuclear is located in the Thu Thiem new urban area.
